Pumpkin Chickpea Hummus

This quick & easy pumpkin hummus is layered with subtle smoky flavour and warming spices, making it a delicious addition to any platter. Smooth, creamy, and full of goodness, it’s the perfect way to use up pumpkin when it’s in abundance.

Serve it alongside your favourite Kiki crackers for an easy, wholesome snack or add it to a grazing board when you’re entertaining.


Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup roasted pumpkin
  • 2 medium garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 3 tablespoons tahini
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth and creamy. If the hummus feels too thick, add a little cold water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.

Transfer to a serving bowl and enjoy with your favourite Kiki crackers, fresh veggies, or as part of a platter.
